Standing in the Campo dei Santi Giovanni e Paolo in Venice, the heroic sized original was produced by Andrea del Verrocchio in honour of the famous fifteenth century condottiere Bartolomeo Colleoni. This scaled down version is a faithful reproduction of that original mounted on a rectangular bronze base, infilled and felted under.
